Reproducible Materials and Activity Sheets
The four files below lead to activities for shading Blank Fraction Bars and to a file with fractions for forming a Posterboard for transparent Fraction Bars.
Shaded bars showing equality and inequality
Small Shaded Fraction Bars
This sheet has small shaded Fraction Bars for all the proper fractions with denominators from 2 through 12. This can be used for forming additional worksheets or activity sheets. It can also be used as an activity sheet with students finding and labeling the bars for given fractions.
Blank Fraction Bars Activity Sheet
This sheet has blank bars for fractions with denominators from 2 through 12. It is designed for the six activity sheets that are listed below.

It is also designed for the following lessons from the Fraction Bars Teacher's Guide: Equality Step 2, Identifying Equal Fractions, p. 14; Inequality Step 2, Determining Inequalities, p. 30; Addition Step 3, Fractions with Unequal Denominators, p. 40; and Subtraction Step 2, Fractions with Unequal Denominators, p. 46.

Activities for Shading Blank Fraction Bars
This file has six activity sheets for the topics of equality, inequality, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of fractions.
Fractions for Posterboard Holder
The Fraction Bars transparencies can be displayed on a Posterboard Holder for classroom and workshop demonstrations.
